The recipe uses a small amount of *Activated Coconut Ash, which is a dietary supplement derived from burning coconut husks until they become ash. The ash is used in detoxifying juices for their absorbent powers. Be careful, you don’t want to consume too much coconut ash because it can actually absorb the nutrients you need to be healthy. A little goes a long way. We noticed that if you use too much ash then the coffee has a slight malty, gritty texture. So go light and add more if needed.
2 tablespoons of 98% Dutch processed CACAO Powder
1 tablespoon of Organic Coconut Ash
8 oz. of Almond milk
2 oz. of Espresso
The ingredients are added to a shaker, shaken, and then poured over ice. Then topped with a matte black whipped cream.
